Accompanied by good pal Stella McCartney, Gwyneth Paltrow made a grand arrival at The Hoping Foundation Benefit Evening held at Ronnie Scott's jazz bar in Soho, London.

The Thursday night affair hoped to reach in excess of $1,000,000 for the charity through an auction in which the guests bid for the chance to be serenaded by the celebrity of their choice from the stage.

And although she's ruled out a music career, Paltrow ended up hitting the mic - singing a karaoke version of "Killing Me Softly With His Song" to a standing ovation at the charity event in aid of Palestinian children.

According to insider reports, the 35-year-old Oscar-winning actress began the song shyly, "but soon got into the swing of it".
