They’re setting the new trend for hip parenthood, and last night Nicole Richie and Joel Madden were spotted doing the nouveau couple thing- having sushi.

The “Simple Life” cutie and her Good Charlotte beau headed over to their favorite sushi spot, Sushi Park in West Hollywood, looking happy and hungry.

Joel did his rockstar thing in a black DCMA Collective (his clothing company) t-shirt, with a black cardigan and distressed jeans, while Nicole looked sexy in a green dress with black leggings and a black leather coat.

And it looks like the tabloid rumors of trouble in paradise for these two are false. A recent report told of a night of partying involving Madden and Lindsay Lohan. “Their heads were practically touching, and he had his leg over hers. Joel has a flirtatious side, and he definitely wasn’t turning her away. He was so zeroed in on Lindsay, he never heard his cell ring. Nicole felt so incredibly helpless and upset that she threw her phone against the wall in a rage.”
