Enjoying some time in New York City, John Mayer was spotted stopping by the Ed Sullivan Theater yesterday for an appearance on “The Late Show with David Letterman.”

The “Waiting on the World to Change” singer gave a friendly smile to the paparazzi as he made his way inside, wearing a dark sportcoat, black t-shirt, dark trousers, and black leather shoes.

According to a recent report, John has been eating up all of the publicity he’s been getting as a result of his relationship with Jennifer Aniston.

A source told Star magazine, “He’s even gone so far as to set up a Google alert, so when his name appears in a new article on the search engine, he gets notified on his Blackberry.”

As for Miss Aniston, the source added that she thinks he’s “too obsessed with fame, but she’s so in love that she’s willing to excuse anything.”
