Stepping out to promote the latest offering from the mini empire of products, Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen headed over to the Union Square Barnes & Noble in New York City on Tuesday (October 28).

The former "Full House" starlets were on-hand to boost sales of their brand new book titled "Influence," doing their best to ignore a group of PETA protesters situated out in front of the popular bookseller.

According to Editor Derek Blasbery, "The making of the book followed a simple routine: Mary-Kate and/or Ashley Olsen would pick me up and take me to a location where a scheduled interview would take place with a creative visionary."

From there, Blasbery and the Olsen girls "put together all this text with photos of the interviewees and of course, the Olsens, pictured at various points throughout their lives."
