Despite the fact that Sean Kingston looks so young, he really has a matured tone which can be heard in his new hit “There’s Nothin.” The song tells the story of a young man in love with the woman of his dreams. Kingston mixes hip-hop with reggae and then plugs a bit of pop to top it all off. With the shimmering voice of Juelz Santana and the rapping of Elan from the DEY, three genres of music are mixed lyrically into one song.

Although not much is going on visually in the video and there are times in the song when Kingston seems to “lose” his Jamaican accent, this song is equal to Kingston’s smash break out hit “Beautiful Girls.” Overall, “There’s Nothin” takes me back to the blossoming butterflies of high school puppy love where the emotion has yet to be tainted. This song is a definite must for any helpless romantic who wants to feel good about life.
