Now that she’s a mommy, Naomi Watts is starting to see things from a new perspective. And it’s bringing her back to her home country.

A native Aussie, Watts has uprooted her family from their Los Angeles locale and headed down under. The reason? She says she wants her seven-month-old son Alexander Pete to get a feel for his Australian heritage.

Naomi, partner Liev Schreiber, and their son Alexander now live in Sydney, a move that will last for several months. And with it being summer in the southern hemisphere, why not?

They were spotted having a visit with the actress’ grandmother yesterday. The whole family looked relaxed and content as they chatted in the beautiful sunshine.
