Though her dog wouldn’t serve much of a purpose in the realm of protection, Natalie Portman was spotted out with her pint-sized pup Charlie in Hollywood yesterday (June 25).

The “Other Boleyn Girl” actress was leaving the CNN building when the paparazzi caught up with her. And she was looking cute and girlie in a screenprinted scoopneck top with a pair of dark violet trousers and flip flops.

Following her gig at CNN, reports tell that Miss Portman was joined by her folk-rock boyfriend Devendra Banhart at the Hotel Café in Hollywood for a concert.

Natalie’s friend Lukas Haas (an actor-turned-singer) performed onstage while she sang along, and after the show, the “Garden State” cutie offered congratulations on his set.
