Enjoying another warm summer day in Toluca Lake, Nicole Richie took baby daughter Harlow Winter Kate Madden out to lunch with a few female friends on Tuesday (June 24).

For their mother/daughter daytime outing, the former Simple Life starlet kept things casual, wearing a white top, jeans and flip-flops.

In related news, Nicole recently spoke to British magazine New about how she owes her life to her baby girl, as she would have "spiraled out of control if she hadn't become pregnant."

Nicole tells: "I never took life seriously before. I'm in a completely different place now. I owe my baby my life. I have a responsibility now. I have to really be someone I want my child to look up to. I'd really like to show how much I appreciate the fact that I'm still here, because I almost didn't get the chance."
