Most up-and-coming singers are happy to be compared to mega stars like Beyonce Knowles. But the “Bootylicious” singer’s little sister Solange isn’t one of them.

According to FOX Pop Tarts’ Hollie McKay, things went south for the “Sandcastle Disco” songstress during a live interview with the Las Vegas FOX affiliate yesterday (August 27).

Apparently Knowles’ publicity team has “banned media outlets from even mentioning Solange’s sister’s name,” including any Beyonce-related questions.

And before the live-via-satellite interview, producers in the FOX studio mentioned that Jay-Z’s Vegas club 40/40 was officially closing its doors, something Solange believed to be part of her introduction.

Once on the air, Knowles chastised the studio anchor for her “unprofessional” introduction, though she didn’t realize that the off-camera comments had been made before going live. Her attitude and crankiness throughout the interview gave off a very spoiled brat persona, something she should try to avoid especially considering that she’s trying to win fans at this point in her career.

Since the interview, Knowles’ people have apologized for her diva-like behavior, citing her lack of media coaching as the source of the problem.
